Review by Curtiss S. Peck

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an amazing story of how humility, trust, courage, and love can help a person navigate life’s challenges.

The book includes illustrations of how five separate people responded to loss, trauma and uncertainty in their lives.

Virginia Gilmore is the central figure in this book, at least in the beginning. In dealing with loss and significant changes in her life, humility helped Virginia realize that she was not in total control of her life. However, she knew that God had given her the abilities to influence the course of her life’s journey if she put trust in God, if she listened to and trusted her heart, if she had the courage to explore unknown and uncertain path(s), and if she relied on love. She learned to love herself first in order to navigate an unclear future.

The energy of her love became so strong it radiated outward and affected the lives of the four other people whose transitions are described in this book. I know Virginia, as well as her co-author Duane Trammell and the other three people illustrated in the book.

While I am not one of the people cited in the book, I can attest to the amazing influence Virginia’s love, compassion, wisdom and service to and for others has had on my life. Wisdom from the Woods is a must-read for anyone who is faced with navigating life’s challenges, regardless of how insurmountable
they may seem.

The wisdom expressed in this book will most assuredly help guide your humble and honest self-reflection.

Trust that you are in this life for a purpose. Use the five life’s stories to strengthen your courage to tap into your unlimited range of possibilities. Above all, learn to listen to your heart and love your true self.

When you are humble and choose trust, courage and love, you can choose to be larger than any fears you may have.
